Dr Jitesh Rajpaul is an orthopaedic surgeon with a focused interest in hip and knee reconstruction, joint replacement and complex trauma.

Dr Rajpaul completed his MBChB at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, obtained his Fellowship of the College of Orthopaedic Surgeons of South Africa and completed a Master of Medicine in Orthopaedic Surgery.

He served as a Senior Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital, focusing on primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty, complex trauma and ICU-level orthopaedic care.

He later served as Head of Orthopaedic Surgery at a regional Durban hospital, leading a busy unit responsible for high volumes of trauma and joint-replacement surgery, multidisciplinary care and specialist training.

He remains involved in postgraduate teaching and peer-reviewed research, and has a strong interest in computer-assisted and robotic joint replacement and digital healthcare solutions.

Personal life

Dr Rajpaul is a father of two and values family life and balance. His wife is a General Practitioner in Umhlanga, giving him a close appreciation for holistic and collaborative healthcare.
