Dr. Keegan Naidoo

Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon
Upper Limb and Sports Injuries
Qualifications: MBChB, FC Orth(SA), HDip Orth(SA), CIME

Dr Keegan Naidoo completed both his undergraduate and postgraduate medical training at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, where he developed a strong academic foundation and a deep commitment to patient care.

He went on to serve as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at RK Khan Hospital, where he later led the Orthopaedics Department as Acting Head. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing clinical services in a high-volume public sector environment, managing complex cases, and guiding junior colleagues. This experience allowed him to develop important leadership and decision-making skills, which continue to inform his calm, organised, and confident approach to patient care. During this period, Dr Naidoo also managed a dedicated Hand and Upper Limb Unit at St Aidan’s Hospital, where he refined his expertise in upper limb and hand surgery.

A significant influence in his professional development was his mentorship under Dr Roy Rajoo, a respected leader in complex upper limb and hand surgery. This mentorship spanned more than ten years within the practice, during which Dr Naidoo gained extensive experience in managing intricate hand injuries, reconstructive procedures, and challenging upper limb conditions, prior to Dr Rajoo’s retirement.

Dr Naidoo is deeply committed to patient-centred care, with a strong focus on individualised treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs, lifestyle, and goals. He believes in open and honest communication, taking time to listen carefully to patients and their families, address concerns thoroughly, and explain treatment options clearly in a friendly and professional manner.

Outside of medicine, Dr Naidoo is a proud father of two young children. He is supported by his wife, who also serves as the practice manager, helping ensure patients experience a responsive, well-organised, and welcoming environment from the first contact through to follow-up care. He is a Christian with strong spiritual values and is actively involved in his church, where he participates in initiatives aimed at uplifting and supporting the community. These values shape his approach to both life and medicine, reinforcing his belief in compassion, service, and respect for every individual.

Dr Keegan Naidoo combines experience, leadership, and empathy — providing orthopaedic care that is skilled, thoughtful, and genuinely patient focused.
